PAPA ROACH Frontman Says New Songs Show Band At Its 'Most Rock 'N' Roll'

February 15, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: PAPA ROACH has posted a video shot during the band's current recording sessions at its official web site. The group is working in a house in California on material for its sixth studio album, which is due out later this year. The group plans to post more video updates at the site in weeks to come. PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix told Launch he's excited about the direction the new songs are taking. "The way things are shaping up right now, it's like PAPA ROACH at its most rock 'n' roll," he said. "That's pretty much, like, where we're at, you know, and what's also just kind of coming out of us naturally, 'cause we don't wanna, like, really force it too hard. We just wanna, you know, see what happens and see where this takes shape from here."

The video posted at the group's web site shows the band members practicing some brief snippets of songs, both as a group and individually, in addition to just hanging out at the studio and other activities.

The new CD will follow up 2004's "Getting Away With Murder", which has sold over one million copies since its release.

PAPA ROACH issued its first DVD, called "Live And Murderous In Chicago", last November.
