PARADISE LOST: New Album To Receive U.K. Release In August

May 21, 2005

PARADISE LOST's new self-titled album — named in celebration of the group's 10th studio album since their full-length debut, "Lost Paradise", was released in 1990 — will receive its long-awaited U.K. release in August. "This is due to contract problems and because of the festival season interfering with tour dates," reads a posting on the band's web site. "PARADISE LOST's management will be flying out to sign their contracts this week, at which point more information about the release will become available."

"Paradise Lost" (released in the rest of Europe via G.U.N. Records) was recorded primarily at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England under the guidance of producer Rhys Fulber (FEAR FACTORY, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY). The follow-up to 2002's "Symbol of Life" is the group's first CD to feature drummer Jeff Singer (ex-BLAZE).

In other news, PARADISE LOST have just been confirmed to be playing at the U.K.'s Download Festival. They have been allocated to play on Friday, June 10, but no other details have been announced yet. More information will be available soon.
