PAUL RODGERS Receives Honourary Doctorate Of Letters Degree; Video Available
November 30, 2009Legendary singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers (FREE, BAD COMPANY, THE FIRM, QUEEN) received an Honourary Doctorate of Letters degree from his hometown university in Middlesbrough England on Friday, November 27.

Said Rodgers: "Having spent the day amongst the welcoming people of this high achieving University I am inspired and elated. This doctorate means a lot to me, I am surprised, humbled and honoured indeed."
Teesside University, who presented Paul with the Honourary Doctorate, was just voted the #1 University in all of England.
Rodgers was born in Middlesbrough and since 1968 he has toured internationally and recently as QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS and as a solo artist. He has released 30 albums and sold over 90 million records. He has consistently been voted number one vocalist of all time. He and his wife Cynthia quietly support over 30 varied charities internationally and in 2008 he received the prestigious U.S. Congress Proclamation for his humanitarianism, of only eight awarded.
