PHIL COLLEN Discusses His New JACKSON Custom Shop Guitar (Video)

January 20, 2011

Rich's Music Exchange conducted an interview with DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen at this past weekend's NAMM international music industry trade show in Anaheim, California. You can now watch the chat below.

Collen, a devout vegetarian, is set to give a special presentation on health, nutrition and physical fitness training at the Los Angeles Fitness Expo on January 29 and January 30. Phil will be joined by his longtime friend and fitness trainer, international Muay Thai Kick Boxing champion and world coach Jean Carrillo.

Collen will open his L.A. Fitness Expo presentation on Saturday, January 29 by discussing the benefits of weight training and light to heavy cardiovascular exercise. Workout demonstrations will include heavy bag work, weights, and "pads." This portion of the day's event will be held in the Expo's MMA area. The morning session is followed by an in-depth discussion with Collen and Carrillo on youth obesity and the long term payoffs of developing exercise routines early in life. The final day of the Expo, Sunday, January 30, Collen and Carrillo will again display and discuss their regimen for a healthier you, from the school-aged to the senior citizen. Both days have special "meet-and-greet" times set aside for autographs and pictures with one of rock 'n' roll's great guitarists and avid health enthusiasts.
