PINK CREAM 69 Singer Completes Songwriting Phase For Solo Album
March 29, 2006PINK CREAM 69/ex-ADAGIO frontman David Readman has completed the songwriting phase for his solo debut with producer and PINK CREAM 69 colleague Dennis Ward at the helm. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Evil Combination", "New Messiah" and "Over the Ocean".
Commented Readman: "It was good to look over the songs again and do another writing session.
"I'm starting to get the guitar tracks back slowly," he added. "Tommy Denander sent some great solo stuff over, and I'm hoping he is up for a couple more songs. I hope to go to the studio soon and record the drums for the new songs, so I can build upon them. Alex Bayrodt (SILENT FORCE) has sent some amazing stuff over and I called him straight away to some more tracks. Looks like Günter Verno is on board to get some great keys down, and I'm in contact with Jonas Hermansson the ex-M.ILL.ION guitar player. I've met him, and had a few drinks with him at the Firefest. We had a blast."
Joining David on his new solo CD are his ex-bandmate Dirk Bruinenberg (ex-ADAGIO) on drums, and Paul Logue (CRY HAVOC) on bass. "With this record I'm trying to bring in all my great musicians I met over the years," explained David, adding, "This was something that I had wanted to do for many years now, ever since I started singing. I had collected songs over the years and finally it came the time to get it out there."
Musically David describes the album as "basically melodic rock... with influences of my past projects, and of course not so far away from PINK CREAM 69." A release date for the effort has not yet been announced.
