PROPHECY Signs With GRINDETHIC RECORDS

September 19, 2007

Grindethic Records has announced the signing of cult Texas death metal band PROPHECY. Formed in 1991 in Shreveport, Lousiana, the band crafted its own path through the U.S. death metal underground, in the process relocating to Texas and helping to shape the sound associated with the death metal scene there. The band has a string of demos and official releases to their name, and their live treks have spanned across the USA and Europe.

The Texas slam merchants are set to begin recording their third full-length album, their first in over 5 years, in October. The album will be titled "Don't Fuckin' Mess With Texas" and will feature artwork by the prolific Tony Koehl (ENTHRALLMENT, MALIGNANCY, ABYSMAL TORMENT, INFERNAL REVULSION, etc.). A release is set for the end of the year.

In related news, the band recently embarked on The Entrails in Europe Tour 2007 with CARNAL DECAY (CH) and ROTTENNESS (MEX) starting off at the NRW Deathfest in Germany. More information is available at this location.
