PROSTHETIC RECORDS To Re-Release THE FUNERAL PYRE Full-Length

January 18, 2007

Prosthetic Records will re-release the latest full-length CD from Los Angeles' THE FUNERAL PYRE on March 20, 2007 through a licensing deal with Bay Area indie label Creator Destructor. Originally released last year through Creator Destructor, "The Nature of Betrayal" sees the band "channeling melodic death metal and Norwegian black metal alike . . .in what has to be billed as a welcome addition to L.A.'s crowded extreme music scene," according to a press release.

Having played over 100 shows throughout 2006 alone in support of the CD, THE FUNERAL PYRE cites AT THE GATES, SHAI HULUD, DISSECTION and EMPEROR as influences. The group completed a five-week tour through November and December and will return to the road in March, but not before playing shows in Southern California on their own.
