Tasmania's death metal horde PSYCROPTIC has returned with its long-awaited and highly anticipated debut live DVD with a bonus CD, all packaged in a deluxe digipack. Entitled "Initiation", it was filmed live at The HiFi Bar in Melbourne, Australia on December 20, 2008 as part of the Australian leg of the "(Ob)Servant World Tour", and is described in a press release as "a must-have product not for just every rabid mad PSYCROPTIC fan, but for ANY fan of live heavy metal music."

"Initiation" contains over an hour of live concert footage and a warts-and-all look behind the scenes into how this extraordinarily unique and talented extreme metal band works and functions... leaving no stones unturned. Also included on this DVD is a comprehensive look into the musical equipment and setups used to create those sounds that are uniquely synonymous in the metal world with the name PSYCROPTIC.

The album included a free bonus DVD featuring a studio diary as well as performance footage from a 2006 gig in Amsterdam, Netherlands and 2008 concert in Wellington, New Zealand. The free bonus DVD runs approximately 85 minutes.
