June 10, 2009

Drummer Jason Bauers of Rochester, New York-based tech grindcore/hardcore outfit PSYOPUS is now accepting private students for drum set and percussion instruction. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to, metal, funk, jazz, fusion, concert percussion, snare drum technique, and keyboard percussion. So whether you are looking to develop speed, technical knowledge, build you snare chops, or learn four mallet marimba solos, you will find help here. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

If interested, contact Jason at [email protected] for details.

PSYOPUS's new album, "Odd Senses", sold around 800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD debuted at No. 90 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"The Burning Halo", the new video from PSYOPUS, can be viewed below.

PSYOPUS last year announced the addition of singer Brian Woodruff (AS THIS BODY, I EXIST) to the group's ranks.
