RAGING SPEEDHORN, SIKTH Confirmed For U.K.'s DAMNATION FESTIVAL

July 29, 2005

RAGING SPEEDHORN and SIKTH have been confirmed for the the first-ever Damnation Festival, set to take place on October 16, 2005 at Jilly's Rockworld in Manchester, England. The bands will head up the Jilly's Rockworld Stage with the likes of PANIC CELL, FOURWAYKILL and hotly tipped THE INBREDS tearing up the place throughout the afternoon. Acts scheduled to perform on the Terrorizer Stage include ENTOMBED, GOREROTTED, GUTWORM and CONQUEST OF STEEL.

Commented a festival spokesman: "It's been an insane ride from having a novel idea for a 'Pit in the Park' with a handful of small bands to what Damnation Festival has mutated into.

"Landing RAGING SPEEDHORN and SIKTH is absolutely unbelievable. We would have laughed at such a suggestion back in December but things have really taken off in our first year and we've got the fingers crossed that we can build on a successful debut.

"We go on about Damnation being a festival 'by the fans for the fans' like Tony Blair's spin-doctor but in our case it is true; our name, venue, artwork and bill have all been influenced, or dictated in some cases, by our strong online community. With the kind of support we've had from them, we're sure Damnation will prove to be a event that both ourselves and our friends deserve."

Tickets are priced at £13 (plus booking fee) an are available at www.ticketline.co.uk, www.seetickets.com, www.aloud.com and www.nme.com.
