RATT To Play Oklahoma In October

September 22, 2008

California hard rockers RATT have scheduled an October 25 show in Oklahoma prior to the start of their South American tour.

The group's schedule is now shaping up as follows:

Oct. 25 - Riverwind Casino - Norman, OK
Oct. 28 - Teatro Caupolican - Santiago, Chile
Oct. 29 - Voce - Lima, Peru
Oct. 30 - Downtown Majestic - Bogota, Colombia
Nov. 01 - LedSlay - Sao Paulo, Brazil

According to a posting on RATT singer Stephen Pearcy's MySpace page, he and RATT guitarist and Warren DeMartini have started writing material for the band's next album, tentatively due in early 2009.

Following weeks of rumors and speculation, RATT drummer Bobby Blotzer recently confirmed that former QUIET RIOT guitarist Carlos Cavazo has joined the group as the replacement for rhythm guitarist John Corabi (former MÖTLEY CRÜE singer). According to Blotzer, "we have been rehearsing with Carlos and it sounds pretty freakin' cool."

Carlos played his first show with the band in Baton Rouge, Lousiana on August 27.

Fan-filmed video footage of RATT's August 28, 2008 performance at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana can be viewed below (clip uploaded by YouTube user "Pepskins").
