Report: A Church For Headbangers

Reuters reports: It may not sound like a traditional hymn but this wine cellar is also a church and these head-bangers are the congregation.

The heavy metal fans belong to Pantokrator — a Colombian church in the suburbs of Bogota which has its own rock band.

Cristian Gonzalez is its founder, pastor and drummer.

"Jesus Christ himself got involved with all sorts of people — prostitutes, thieves, tax-collectors, he got close to them no matter what they were," he said. "He broke the pattern of the time through action. We have busted the myth of sex, drugs and rock and roll through very forceful action, and it's done through Jesus Christ."
