RITCHIE BLACKMORE's Son JÜRGEN To Release New Instrumental CD

April 27, 2006

German guitarist Jürgen Blackmore, son of DEEP PURPLE/RAINBOW guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore, will release a new instrumental rock album, entitled "Between Darkness & Light", on May 19. The CD was recorded and mixed earlier this year at the Musikerei Studios in Quickborn, Germany and features a "somewhat harder" musical direction than the four tracks that appeared on Blackmore's previously released instrumental mini-CD, "Recall the Past".

"Between Darkness & Light" track listing:

01. Between Darkness & Light - Part 1
02. Nine Lives
03. Time Travelling
04. Recall The Past
05. Dreams
06. Invisible Touch
07. Sheet Lightning
08. Tears Of The Dragons
09. Total Eclipse
10. Between Darkness & Light - Part 2

A CD-release party will be held at the H 1 Club & Lounge in Hamburg, Germany on May 16. However, according to a statement issued by Blackmore's management, Jürgen will NOT be performing live at the party.
