According to Curbed, musician and director Rob Zombie has spent $2.49 million for a mid-century home in Hollywood Hills, California. Zombie purchased the residence in April.

The official property description: "The Thorgusen Residence, 1953. Designed by Robert Thorgusen and landscaped by Garrett Eckbo 'The Forrest'. This mid-century work of art has been meticulously restored with some reinterpretation. Sitting on a secluded lot, the home's walls of glass and unique folded-plate, roof-line are hidden from street view. The private master suite with fireplace and the office/gym open to the garden. Dining room overlooks the pool. Living room has approximately 14-foot ceilings. Large family room opens to an indoor/outdoor koi pond. Additional features include: guest suite, Miele and Gagganau appliances, Crestron sound system and Fleetwood windows and doors. This extraordinary turnkey home is part of L.A.'s rich architectural history."
