ROBERT PLANT Lines Up Appearances On 'Craig Ferguson', JOHN PEEL Tribute Single

September 22, 2005

Former LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant and his band STRANGE SENSATION will be appearing on CBS' "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on Friday, September 30.

In other news, Plant has joined a lineup of stars to record a tribute single to the late British DJ John Peel. Plant will lay down his vocals on a cover version of "Ever Fallen In Love" by the BUZZCOCKS, one of Peel's favorite records. Additional appearances are expected by THE WHO's Roger Daltrey, PINK FLOYD's David Gilmour, NEW ORDER's Peter Hook and Jeff Beck, among others. Proceeds from the record will go to Amnesty International, a political campaign group which Peel supported.

The record is scheduled for release on November 21 to coincide with Peel's induction into the U.K. Music Hall of Fame.
