S.S.S. To Support KILLSWITCH ENGAGE In London
August 15, 2007Fresh from playing a sold-out gig with U.S. thrashers MUNICIPAL WASTE at the the London Underworld on Friday, S.S.S. (SHORT SHARP SHOCK) are set to take their underground thrash sound straight to one of the city's largest venues. On October 3 the Merseyside crossover thrashers will play their largest show to date by supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE at London's Brixton Academy.
Speaking about the upcoming gig, S.S.S. vocalist Foxy states: "Reason we are doing this gig is when are we ever likely to step onto a massive stage like that ever again? I dont know how many thrash bands would fill a venue that big. But KILLSWITCH ENGAGE asked for us and we said yer."
The close of 2006 saw the release of S.S.S.'s "Short Sharp Shock" — the debut 16-track CD and 12" wax, limited to 1,000 copies on Dead & Gone. The CD was reissued in June via Earache Records.
