SACRIFICE Frontman On Upcoming Reunion Show: 'Prepare To Be Destroyed'

September 18, 2006

For the first time in 15 years, Canadian thrash metal legends SACRIFICE will reunite for one-night only as headliner of Day Of The Equinox II festival taking place on Saturday, September 23 in Toronto, Ontario at the Opera House.

The band's original lineup of guitarist/singer Rob Urbinati, guitarist Joe Rico, bassist Scott Watts and drummer Gus Pynn will be performing tracks from their classic metal releases: "Torment In Fire" (1986),"Forward To Termination" (1987) and "Soldiers of Misfortune" (1990).

Urbinati issued the following update earlier today (Monday, Sept. 18): "Our first day of full band rehearsal today. Scott got in from Vancouver last night, Joe got in on Saturday from Detroit. Gus and myself have been rehearsing since April, but this was the first time the whole band was present.

"We were all a little nervous before today, but that all went out the window when we cruised through about 20 songs. The sound and vibe at the room was fucking crushing. If you are going to the show, prepare to be destroyed. By Saturday we will be even tighter and ready to annihilate the Opera House in the same fashion that we attacked Toronto's Concert Hall years ago. I haven't felt adrenaline like today in a long time.

"It was so great for us all to be in the same room playing thrash metal again."
