SANCTIFICATION: Five New Songs Completed

SANCTIFICATION, the Swedish death metal band featuring current/former members of GOD AMONG INSECTS, IN BATTLE and SOULDRAINER, has issued the following update:

"Five songs are now competed [for the group's long-awaited second album] and so far things are moving along just fine. All songs are different from each other but still not. They are very dynamic and this is the way we wanna make music. Number 6 is on the way and we hope to lay down some pre-production vocals this week for the newest song."

SANCTIFICATION has recruited Tony Laureano (DIMMU BORGIR, ex-NILE, ANGELCORPSE) to lay down the drum tracks for the upcoming CD. The recording sessions will take place this spring at the Abyss Studios in Sweden. A summer/fall 2008 release via Pulverised Records is expected.

SANCTIFICATION parted ways with drummer Nils Fjellström last year due to "his busy schedule with DARK FUNERAL," according to a press release.

Commented the band: "The loss of Nils was a big one but this feels like a fresh start for us, and we are very happy and honoured that Tony wants to do this with us. He is a great guy and a fantastic drummer, so this feels absolutely awesome."

SANCTIFICATION's debut album, "Misanthropic Salvation", was released in 2003 through Remission Records.
