SANCTITY Guitarist Issues Post-DOWNLOAD Report

June 20, 2007

Guitarist Zeff Childress of the Asheville, North Carolina-based classic metal quartet SANCTITY has issued the following update:

"I'm just so excited about SANCTITY's experience at the 2007 Download festival. That thing was awesome!!! It was an amazing experience for everyone. Download was our first really big festival, it reminded me of Gigantour but on a much larger scale. Everyone we ran into was having a blast.

"Lemme tell you what happened...

"We had a show with AS I LAY DYING down in London Thursday night, so after the show we drove up to Donington and camped out in one of the big grass lots. Early Friday morning we got checked in and did our signing with Kerrang! After some crazy fans, we headed out to our dressing room. Lucky for us we had a herd of dancers keeping us company down at the third stage area. While they worked on their moves, we met up with JOB FOR A COWBOY who shared dressing rooms with us. We shared some road stories and even helped them out; there was a problem with some gear and JOB borrowed some drums.

"The show was awesome, this was by far the best show of the tour for us. The third stage was totally full and we could see people lined up outside the tent area. The crowd erupted when our intro music started over the PA, and we did our jobs, total annihilation!!!! We've got some pictures of stuff throughout the show including a huge moshpit!!! That crowd was crazy. Everyone sang along to 'Zeppo' and 'Beneath the Machine', it was just a great vibe!!!

"After the show we watched JOB and went mingling. The next two days were a blur of awesome bands and meeting new friends. Personally I watched 30 SECONDS TO MARS, LAMB OF GOD, ANATHEMA, MACHINE HEAD, MÖTLEY CRÜE, DIMMU, and of course MAIDEN. Every night we hung out at the VIP lounge and just rubbed elbows with everyone. Good times, good times!!!!

"Enjoy the pictures and the dance video, and SANCTITY says thank you to everyone that participated with us at Download 2007 and we hope to see you again!!!!"
