SEPULTURA: Ljubljana Show Cancelled
February 17, 2009Brazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA have issued the following update:
"We are very sorry to inform that the SEPULTURA concert in Ljubljana, Slovenia on February 17, was cancelled. The local promoter informed us by e-mail two days ago that the venue would change for this show, and when the band and crew arrived in Slovenia to check the venue, no specs on the rider were respected, and that made the show impossible to be made. The band's crew did all they could, but it is simply impossible. If you are from Ljubljana, you know the Orto Club, which is in fact a very nice club, but the technical specs of the venue are not even close to what the band needs to do a show. Unfortunately we depend on local people to make things done, but when they do not do their job properly we have to suffer consequences. We are all very sorry and we hope to come back in our European tour and bring this show back to Slovenia, as we always do every tour."

"A-Lex" — SEPULTURA's first LP to be recorded without either of the founding Cavalera brothers (Max and Igor; on guitar/vocals and drums, respectively) — sold around 1,600 copies during its first week of release in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
SEPULTURA's previous CD, "Dante XXI", has sold 19,000 copies in the United States since its March 2006 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
