July 30, 2008

According to The Buffalo News, seven people were arrested at the EdgeFest 2008 concert — featuring GODSMACK, ALTER BRIDGE and SEVENDUST, among other bands — on Saturday (July 26) at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Lake, New York

Two men were arrested for punching a security guard inside the concert venue, while a woman was charged with punching another woman in the face.

A man is also facing drug charges after police said they found a small quantity of marijuana and LSD in his possession, deputies reported.

The only person from the EdgeFest concert who was being held in police custody was Timothy J. Szarpa, 20, of Lakeview Avenue, Orchard Park.

Deputies charged Szarpa with disorderly conduct after he was allegedly taunting other patrons in an attempt to engage in an altercation. Szarpa was being being held in jail on $300 bail.
