SLIPKNOT Getting Along Better Than Ever

February 10, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: It was just two years ago that the future of SLIPKNOT was in doubt. The band was exhausted after three years of nonstop recording and touring, with the members fighting with each other and scattering to work on outside projects. But the band eventually ironed out their problems, and now they're getting ready to launch their third major North American tour in less than twelve months. Drummer Joey Jordison told Launch that SLIPKNOT has never been more unified than they are now. "This is still the most important thing in our lives, and without SLIPKNOT I really couldn't — it'd be a very huge void right now, and I could not be happier," he said. "A lot of bands will tell you that with their new record, that they're getting along better just to promote the record and stuff like that. I can honestly say that we couldn't be happier being in SLIPKNOT right now and you can really tell that when you see us onstage too."

SLIPKNOT's third album, "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)", has sold over 950,000 copies in the United States since its release last fall, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

SLIPKNOT is scheduled to be the featured musical guests on the Tuesday, March 1 edition of NBC-TV's "Late Night With Conan O'Brien". It's not known what song the band will perform, although the group has chosen "Before I Forget" as the next single from "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)". The track will make its way to radio stations in early March.
