SLIPKNOT Percussionist CHRIS FEHN Is Fan Of 'Freedom Rock'

December 12, 2010

According to DesMoinesRegister.com, SLIPKNOT percussionist Chris Fehn has become an ardent fan of the Freedom Rock, the 60-ton rock located just south of Exit 86 along Interstate 80 in rural Adair County, at the intersection of Iowa Highway 25 and 120th Street, in Iowa.

Artist Ray Sorensen, who goes by the nickname "Bubba," paints images on the two sides of the rock every May, with Memorial Day as his deadline.

The Freedom Rock is situated near one of Fehn's favorite fishing holes at a farm pond in rural Greenfield and the percussionist often uses the roadside stop in for quiet reflection.

"I have a whole newfound respect for veterans and anyone that gives up their life to do something for the greater good," Fehn told DesMoinesRegister.com.
