SLIPKNOT's CLOWN Says Upcoming Tour Will Be 'Unique And Cool'
February 23, 2005SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan spoke to Billboard.com about their upcoming U.S. tour, which begins March 4 in Hartford, Conn.
"We've been touring 11 months almost in a scaled-down production, so this tour coming up, we're bringing the hydraulics back out and we're going to be doing some film," Crahan told Billboard.com. "It's not going to be anything like the 'Iowa' set, which was crazy."
He added, "Everybody who is coming to the shows will see something that we'll never do again and that we haven't done in the past, so every SLIPKNOT tour is unique unto itself. And kids know that. This is a whole separate tour, video and different things that have never ever been, so it's going to be really unique and really cool."
In addition to all the SLIPKNOT standards, two new tracks yet to be performed live from the group's 2004 Roadrunner album. "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" will be incorporated into the set.
Crahan also confirmed that plans exist for the group to releasee their second DVD containing footage recorded over the last year.
"I will tell you that it's not a concert," he offered. "It's a little bit of everything. It's a little bit of everybody." When asked if the band will be taping its upcoming tour, Crahan replied, "We always have someone filming us. If you're guilty, you'll be filmed."
