STEVEN ADLER 'Would Love To' Perform With GUNS N' ROSES At ROCK HALL Induction

March 28, 2012

Original GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler says that he "would love to" perform with the band's classic lineup at GN'R's upcoming induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. The event will take place on April 14 in Cleveland, with all the original members of the band — including singer Axl Rose — expected to attend.

When asked via Twitter if he shared guitarist Slash's sentiments about wanting to play with the original GUNS N' ROSES members at the Rock Hall induction, Adler replied, "I would love to [do it] for the fans."

Although Slash recently confirmed that the original lineup of GUNS N' ROSES would not perform at the Rock Hall induction, the guitarist told The Pulse Of Radio that he's not to blame — and in fact would like to see it happen. "Ideally, I'd love to have the original band actually get up there and play," he said. "But like, from very early on I knew — I got the vibe that that's not gonna happen. Then it's sort of like, well, I hate formals, you know. It's like, it was the only reason to go would be if the original band got up and played, if only for the fans that would want to see that happen."

Slash added that he toyed with the idea of not attending the ceremony at all.

Without naming names, Slash added in an interview with Loudwire that the band not performing at the ceremony "doesn't surprise me. We've been at odds for, well not at odds, but we just haven't had any sort of communication in a long time so . . . that's basically it."
