STEVEN TYLER's Father Dies At 95

September 12, 2011

AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler's father, Victor Tallarico, died Saturday in Nashua, New Hampshire at the age of 95.

According to Victor's online obituary, he was surrounded by family when he died peacefully on Saturday, September 10.

"Victor was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Susan Ray (Blancha) Tallarico. He leaves a brother, Ernest Tallarico, of Tampa, Florida, two children, Steven and Lynda; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many friends," the obituary reads.

"Among Victor's proudest accomplishments were his offspring: Lynda, a retired teacher who resides in southern Vermont, and Steven, who, having been well launched into the music business by Victor, became famous as Steven Tyler, the lead singer of the rock band AEROSMITH."

In a 2010 profile, Tallarico told the Nashua Telegraph about his famous son, "My favorite song of his? 'Dream On'. Because it's not really a rock song. Of course, I'm proud of him. [He's] number one in the rock field. There is no one like him. There will never be. He, as far as I'm concerned, is a genius."
