STRAPPING YOUNG LAD Guitarist Begins Recording TENET Album

December 22, 2006

STRAPPING YOUNG LAD guitarist Jed Simon has posted the following message on the band's MySpace page:

"Just wanted to let you know that the TENET recording has begun...finally. I finished tracking the guitars yesterday (December 20),and it sounds killer. I am really happy to be getting to work on this, as it's been 'in waiting' for a long time. Stay tuned for updates, I'll keep you posted as we get further along.

"I have started a TENET MySpace page and will get it up and running properly [as soon as possible]. Also, the official site at TenetForce.com will be getting the 'go-ahead' soon. Lots to do, and looking forward to it all! Again, if anyone is going to be at the NAMM show in L.A. this January, stop by the Bernie Rico Jr. guitars booth and say hello. I'll be there representing Bernie, and you can check out one of my new BRJ customs, as well as some of his amazing custom creations. Gary Holt (EXODUS) and Jerry Only (MISFITS) will also be there representing Bernie... Stop by and check out his schedule for their times."

TENET features in its ranks Simon, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD/ex-DEATH drummer Gene Hoglan and SACRIFICE frontman Rob Urbinati. The band's debut album is expected to be released in 2007 via Century Media Records.

STRAPPING YOUNG LAD's latest CD, "The New Black" was released in July via Century Media.
