STRAPPING YOUNG LAD Guitarist Joins DARK ANGEL!

STRAPPING YOUNG LAD guitarist Jed Simon has been tapped to join the reunited DARK ANGEL on their upcoming West Coast tour and subsequent European festival appearances.

Simon, a thrash metal veteran whose pre-SYL recording history includes work with such underground acts as CAUSTIC THOUGHT and ARMOROS, replaces founding member Jim Durkin, who was recently dismissed from the group due to scheduling conflicts.

DARK ANGELSimon, drummer Gene Hoglan, guitarist Eric Meyer, vocalist Ron Rinehart, and bassist Danyael — have been confirmed for next year's installment of Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place Jul. 31-Aug. 2, 2003 in Wacken, Germany.
