SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: More 'Return To Venice' Details Revealed
October 16, 2004SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' upcoming "Return to Venice" project will incude two new NO MERCY songs. These two tracks were recorded by SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, featuring Mike Muir (vocals),Dean Pleasants and Mike Clark (guitars),Steve Bruner (bass) and his brother Ron Bruner Jr. (drums).
Several of the songs on SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' 1988 album, "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow... When I Can't Even Smile Today", were written by Mike Clark and Mike Muir before Mike Clark joined SUICIDAL TENDENCIES.
The first NO MERCY recordings were on the "Welcome to Venice" compilation, which was the first Suicidal Records release.
After the "Welcome to Venice" recordings, Mike Muir took over the singing and the classic "Widepread Bloodshed, Love Runs Red" record was released. Later, Mike Clark joined SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, and the band re-recorded several NO MERCY songs on the "Controlled By Hatred / Feel Like Shit... Deja-Vu" record, which ended up going gold in the States. Also, the "Friends and Family 2" compilation contained the NO MERCY song "Something Inside Me" along with the Sic Mix version of "We're Evil".
As for the original NO MERCY album, it was remastered a few years back, and will finally be re-released on CD format next year.
