SUN DESCENDS: Four New Tracks Posted Online

April 15, 2008

New York City thrashers SUN DESCENDS, who feature in their ranks EXUMER vocalist Mem von Stein, have posted four tracks off their new album, "The Entropy Formula", on their MySpace page. The 10-track CD, which is released on Khaosmaster Productions this month and via Twilight Distribution in the fall, will be the band's last output for the foreseeable future. Stein will return with a new SUN DESCENDS album in 2010, after the EXUMER reunion in 2009.

"The Entropy Formula" will be released on limited-edition vinyl later this year and will incorporate the artwork of Sean Taggart (CRUMBSUCKERS, AGNOSTIC FRONT, CARNIVORE).

Mem von Stein previously stated, "The music on SUN DESCENDS' new album is as relevant as the music on 'Possessed by Fire', which I recorded with EXUMER back in 1986. Let's just hope that the thrash frenzy of today won't be exploited as it was in the '80s, causing thrash metal to come to a creative full-stop. Otherwise I am amazed at the comeback thrash metal has made and I am very hopeful that the new SUN DESCENDS album will be received positively."

SUN DESCENDS recently announced the addition of bassist KO Thunder to the group's ranks. Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, Thunder joined the group this past summer.
