Sweden's SALT Recording Debut Album

December 21, 2007

SALT, the new Swedish project featuring Björn Lodin (BALTIMOORE) on vocals, Mikael Nord Andersson (BALTIMOORE) on guitar and lead/backing vocals, Janne Stark (OVERDRIVE) on guitar, Robban Bäck on drums and Björn Lundqvist on bass/vocals, is currently recording its debut album for an early 2008 release.

Commented Lodin: "We're now over one important threshold with the SALT album — all drums are recorded by Robban for all ten tracks. For those of you who're not familiar with the recording process, (how we do it, anyway...) we start with a pre-production where we write songs and make demos. Me and Janne wrote by ourselves and together for about five months, then Robban and Björn (the other guy) sat in for the demo recording — which is usually done by drum machine and synth bass. Then Micke had his saying and we picked ten songs out of 15 that we would record and have on the album. So, now that we have the foundation we just keep on building, adding guitars and what not... It's downhill from here!"
