SYMPHORCE Guitarist Releases New Solo Instrumental Recording

February 4, 2008

SYMPHORCE/ex-FREEDOM CALL guitarist Cédric "Cede" Dupont has posted a new instrumental track to his MySpace page. Dupont's first instrumental recording ever is being described as "melodic, emotional, dramatic and a pretty interesting experience." Cédric comments: "I had so much fun doing this kinda thing with all the loops and keys and whatever makes that thing bombastic that I'm thinking about doing some more stuff in this kinda direction. I'm laying down things that are influenced by sounds I hear around... be that on the streets, in a fucking discotheque or a supermarket, haha."

In other news, Dupont has been busy writing new material that is being described as "a combination of traditional blues licks [and] heavy, [balls-out] metal sound."

SYMPHORCE's "Become Death" album was released on February 23, 2007 (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and February 26, 2007 (rest of Europe) via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at the House Of Music Studios in Winterbach (near Stuttgart),Germany with producer Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69). Mastering duties were handled by Achim Köhler (BRAINSTORM).
