TED NUGENT Readying Next Reality Show

August 18, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: Ted Nugent is preparing to shoot the third season of his reality show — which ran for two years on VH1 as "Surviving Nugent" — and will now move to the Outdoor Life Network as "Wanted: Ted Or Alive". Nugent will take contestants to his property near Jackson, Michigan, in September to tape the "Survivor"-style competition, which is expected to air in early 2006. Nugent told Launch that he plans "on blowing up the status quo Outdoor Life Network just as we blew up the status quo of VH1 hippie left-wingers." Nugent added that he hopes to have a diverse group of contestants: "I really do want a black, a Hispanic, an Asian, an animal rights person, a lesbian and a homosexual...just to keep it spicy."

Nugent and his family no longer live on the Michigan property since black mold was found in their home in 2003. They currently reside in Crawford, Texas, down the road from George W. Bush's Texas retreat.

Nugent plans to start work on a new album in February.

Nugent played Wednesday night (August 17) at the Upper Peninsula State Fair in Escanaba, Michigan.
