Teenage Death/Black Metal Fan On Trial For Killing Radio Journalist

October 19, 2010

According to the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, the teenage death/black metal fan who is on trial for the fatal stabbing of the radio journalist George Weber is continuing to claim that he killed the Carroll Gardens radio host in self-defense during an S&M sex act.

John Katehis (see video below),then 16, of East Elmhurst, Queens, New York was arrested in March 2009 a few days after he apparently answered a Craigslist ad in which Weber, 47, sought a sexual partner. The police believed Weber planned to pay Katehis for sex.

Katehis posted various photos of himself with his knife collection on MySpace. In the photos, Katehis is often wearing t-shirts featuring metal bands CANNIBAL CORPSE and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, and seen posing in front of a MÖTLEY CRÜE wall decoration.

His playlist on MySpace included selections from DIMMU BORGIR, NAGLFAR and MARILYN MANSON.
