TESLA Guitarist Releases 9/11 Tribute Song

September 12, 2009

TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon has released a new solo track entitled "The Heroes". He states, "'The Heroes' is a new song I wrote just this last month as we approached the anniversary of 9/11... I wanted to write a song about how as everybody was running away from the disaster, the firefighters were running into it with the goal of saving lives… true heroism... As the song developed, we have been plagued by fires here in California and there has been some serious heroism here too. The second verse talks of the man who ran into the burning house to save a lady. Well, that is a true story from right here in Auburn, California, so I then got the idea to offer this song up as a download and donate profits from the sale to help the victims of the 49er fire in Auburn, California as well as the FDNY families and survivors of 9/11.

"Music is the only thing I can really create and I hope you all enjoy this song. It has a lot of meaning to me and hopefully by downloading this song and contributing to the charity we can help out some people this month of September 2009, and honor 'The Heroes'."

You can purchase the download of "The Heroes" at this location for $5.99 or a generous donation of $10 or more. All money raised will benefit firefighters and their families. Donations will be distributed to the following charities:
