THE ACACIA STRAIN Checks In From SOUNDS OF THE UNDERGROUND

July 23, 2007

Massachusetts' purveyors of all things heavy THE ACACIA STRAIN are currently out on the road on this summer's Sounds of the Underground tour supporting the band's latest effort, "The Dead Walk". Frontman Vincent Bennett has offered the following update from the road:

"This is by far the best tour we have ever done. I mean, I can't really compare it to anything because it blows most club tours right out of the water. All of the bands are sweet, all of the kids at these shows are sweet, and everyone who is involved with this tour is sweet. As far as festival tours go, this might be the best one around, and I'm not just saying that because I'm on it. If you haven't been to Sounds this year yet, make sure you get your tickets and be prepared...it's a loooong fucking day. Come hang out, most of us are down by merch for most of the day and are sweating for something to do or someone to talk to. And dudes, buy your girlfriend some fucking shorts — highly recommended. Thumbs up!"

Recorded with Adam Dutkiewicz (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE),"The Dead Walk" was released last June through Prosthetic Records and has spawned a video for the track "Angry Mob Justice". Watch the clip online at YouTube.
