December 22, 2008

THE ANSWER, a four-piece rock band from Northern Ireland now touring as the opening act on AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour, has inked a European deal (excluding the U.K.) with the German record label Steamhammer/SPV. The group's second album, "Everyday Demons", will be released in Europe on March 2, 2009. The CD was produced by John Travis (KID ROCK, STATIC-X, etc.) and mixed by Tim Palmer and Mike Fraser (who recently mixed AC/DC's "Black Ice").

THE ANSWER will continue to tour America with AC/DC until the end of January, and starting on February 18, the band will visit Europe as special guests as part of the sold-out Black Ice tour.

"We've been on tour almost constantly for two years, have seen a lot of the world and made a lot of important experiences — a development that you can hear on 'Everyday Demons'," says guitarist Paul Mahon.

THE ANSWER's debut North American title "Never Too Late", is a limited-edition two-disc set that bundles a four-song EP and a bonus DVD featuring previously unreleased footage.

Recently included on Rolling Stone's Hot List, THE ANSWER is made up of Cormac Neeson (lead vocals),Paul Mahon (guitar),Micky Waters (bass) and James Heatley (drums). In Europe and the U.K. — where their major awards include Best New UK Band at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards — they've opened shows for THE ROLLING STONES, THE WHO, AEROSMITH and other legendary acts. THE ANSWER has also headlined tours in the U.K., Europe, Japan and Australia, where their first album "Rise" won significant critical and popular acclaim.

THE ANSWER performed the song "Never Too Late" on the November 14, 2008 edition of CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman". Check out video footage below.
