THE BLACK LEAGUE Lens Video For "Rex Talionis"

January 17, 2002

Finland's THE BLACK LEAGUE, featuring former SENTENCED frontman Taneli Jarva, have shot a clip for the track Rex Talionis off their most recent Utopia A.D. CD and are scheduled to make it available via Spinefram Records' upcoming DVD collection, which is tentatively due in February. According to guitarist Alexi Ranta, the video contains live material from our last [gig] at Foxia, Oulu. It was shot by Mr. Jylkk, the same pro who helped us with our first video, and edited by Sir Luttinen and Jylkk. Once again they manage to build something special and retain the spirit just like it was on the spot. Originally, we had no intention to use this material, but after we saw it there was no doubt of itThe reason why we chose 'Rex' [as the video cut], even [if] it doesn't give exactly the right impression of our music, is that the song had to be as short as possible since we used only live material. And it surely is a nice contrast to our first one.
