June 7, 2007

Los Angeles-based technical progressive metal band THE HUMAN ABSTRACT has announced that it will be take part in this summer's Warped Tour, on the Smart Punk stage, beginning June 29 and continuing on until the end of July. This is the group's first year playing the extremely popular festival, where they will share the stage with bands such as CIRCA SURVIVE, COHEED AND CAMBRIA, ESCAPE THE FATE, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, NEW FOUND GLORY and NORMA JEAN, among many others.

Commented guitarist AJ Minette: "The whole band is really excited to take part in Warped Tour, this is our first large festival, and we think the diverse bill will be great. Warped Tour fans are usually really cool, receptive, and open minded. Plus, we all grew up going to Warped Tour, and always imagined ourselves on stage."

THE HUMAN ABSTRACT has just completed a tour with THE CHARIOT, which Minette describes as "amazing. That tour was a great experience, all of the other bands were great, and we've noticed many more fans coming out to see us, successively with each tour." The group has also filmed the video for its song "Vela, Together We Await the Storm" in Los Angeles with director Michael Grodner (CURSIVE, CHIODOS, PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS).
