THE RED CHORD Frontman Interviewed By METAL ASSAULT (Audio)
November 12, 2010On October 31, Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal of Metal Assault conducted an interview with vocalist Guy Kozowyk of Boston, Massachusetts grind metallers THE RED CHORD. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.
THE RED CHORD's "Demoralizer" video can be viewed below (courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting.com). The clip was shot on Guy Kozowyk's property in abandoned ceramics factory on Halloween and showcases some pretty gruesome illustrations by artist Tim Kellen, which were animated and brought to life by director Dave Brodsky of MyGoodEye. The artist used charcoal, meat, grape jelly, and chicken guts in his illustrations, giving the "Demoralizer" video a truly bizarre appearance.
"Fed Through the Teeth Machine", the fourth full-length album from THE RED CHORD, sold around 2,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 180 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at position No. 6 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Fed Through the Teeth Machine" was released on October 27, 2009 in the U.S. via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Jonny Fay Backyard Studios, which is owned by the band's former guitarist Jonny Fay, and it was mixed and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with HATEBREED and SHADOWS ALL, among others.
