THE SHOWDOWN Parts Ways With Guitarist, Signs New Record Deal
February 5, 2008Vocalist David Bunton of Tennessee's THE SHOWDOWN has issued the following update:
"We have signed to a new record label, and when the time is right, we will be announcing this and giving you guys all the full details. We are very excited about the future of THE SHOWDOWN. Right now are working on a new record, and have been for several months now. We plan to be in the studio in March, and be back on the road as soon as possible. Until then we are going to do our best to be online as much as possible. I'm sure some of you have noticed, Travis [Bailey; guitar/vocals] is no longer with the band. He is engaged and moving on to the next part of his life. We support him 100%!"
Back in May 2007, THE SHOWDOWN filmed the video for the song "Temptation Come My Way" with accomplished music video director Doug Spangenberg, who has worked with NORMA JEAN, THIS IS HELL, TERROR and LAMB OF GOD.
THE SHOWDOWN was named one of AP's "100 Bands You Need To Know" In '07, and was profiled as a "Band To Watch" in Revolver magazine.
