THEM CROOKED VULTURES: Second Album In The Works
November 11, 2010THEM CROOKED VULTURES, the band consisting of John Paul Jones (LED ZEPPELIN),Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS) and Josh Homme (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE),is planning to regroup in the near future to resume work on material for its second album.
Jones told the BBC 6 Music: "Some stuff we've worked on, but we're gonna write pretty quickly and just put it down... we may be a year or so [away from completing the CD]."
He added: "It will mainly be excess material from the first album, material we started and never finished because we had to go and play the stuff we already recorded!"

THEM CROOKED VULTURES released its self-titled debut album in November 2009 to a slew of critical acclaim and in just a few short months saw additional accolades including "best of 2009" lists from Spin, MySpace and Time Out. The CD, which has reached gold and platinum status in a number of territories, including U.K., Canada and Australia, is available in stores and online now.
THEM CROOKED VULTURES's album sold 70,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 12 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"Them Crooked Vultures" was released via DGC/Interscope Records.
THEM CROOKED VULTURES shot a video for the song "New Fang" with director Paul Minor (MUSE, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, SCARS ON BROADWAY).
