THEM CROOKED VULTURES: Second Performance Clip From Amsterdam Surfaces

August 20, 2009

Fan-filmed video footage of THEM CROOKED VULTURES — the new supergroup consisting of FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE singer/guitarist Josh Homme and LED ZEPPELIN bassist John Paul Jones — performing the song "New Fang" last night (Wednesday, August 19) at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, Holland can be viewed below.

According to RollingStone.com, the Google Earth function on THEM CROOKED VULTURES' web site has marked its X over Hasselt, Belgium, the site of this weekend's Pukkelpop festival. The VULTURES aren't yet listed on the Pukkelpop web site, but the site does hint at a surprise guest that will take the stage today.

"Observant visitors to our website must have noticed that there’s a rather large gap in the Marquee timetable between WILCO and BEIRUT on Thursday," the Pukkelpop site writes. "To make the already impressive line-up even more spectacular, Pukkelpop has a surprise act in store. Do not expect any hints, tips or clues from us. We can only promise that you will be astounded by our 100 percent surprise act."

The band made its live debut on August 9 at the Metro club in Chicago, shortly after Lollapalooza closed its third and final day at nearby Grant Park.

THEM CROOKED VULTURES, which has been in the works for four years, will release an album and hit the road sometime later this year, but official details have yet to be announced. So far all the band has done is put up a web site as well as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and YouTube pages.
