THINE EYES BLEED Frontman: 'Listeners Can Expect A Much More Focused Album That Doesn't Let Up'
April 9, 2007Canadian thrashers THINE EYES BLEED — who feature in their ranks former KITTIE guitarist/technician Jeff Phillips and bassist Johnny Araya (brother of SLAYER's Tom Araya — have posted a number of photos from the recording sessions for their sophomore album at this location. The CD was tracked at Beach Road Studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada with producer Seigfried Meier.
Commented vocalist Justin Wolfe: "We spent a little over three weeks at Beach Road Studios (Goderich, ON) tracking our yet-untitled album with engineer/producer Siegfried Meier, and we feel things couldn't have been better this time around. We were able to listen and create without the pressures of budget/time and it's really going to show. The music is still to be mixed and sounds better than anything we have done so far. . . As far as the new tunes go, we don't think fans will be disappointed. We knew it was going to be heavy… Indeed it is. Listeners can expect a much more focused album that doesn't let up."
A brand new THINE EYES BLEED song, recorded live in Sweden last fall during the European leg of SLAYER's "Unholy Alliance Tour: Preaching to the Perverted" tour (where THINE EYES BLEED was the opening act),has been posted on the band's MySpace page. Check out the track "The Dragon" at this location.
THINE EYES BLEED last year re-released their 2005 debut for The End Records, entitled "In the Wake of Separation". The CD now includes the bonus track "Better off Dead" (previously available only in Japan) and the video for "Cold Victim".
