THRESHOLD To Tour Europe In The Fall

May 16, 2009

U.K. progressive metallers THRESHOLD will tour Europe in the fall of 2009 and promise a radically different show. The first handful of dates has now been announced with more to follow.

Oct. 29 - Zeche Carl - Essen, Germany
Oct. 30 - Colos Saal - Aschaffenburg, Germany
Nov. 01 - Z7 - Pratteln, Switzerland
Nov. 07 - Boerderij - Zoetermeer, Netherlands

Commented THRESHOLD guitarist Karl Groom: "The tour this autumn looks like a great opportunity to play some songs I have long looked forward to. Damian [Wilson; vocals] took on an enormous task of learning so many lyrics since he rejoined the band, but now we have the possibility to work on a whole new live set before recording a new studio album. With some previously unperformed epics and a new stage show I hope fans will enjoy this tour."

After signing with Nuclear Blast in 2007, THRESHOLD released their eighth studio album, "Dead Reckoning", in March of that year. The CD brought the band their best chart success to date in the U.K., Germany and Holland, and led to tracks on numerous compilations as well as a major Hollywood soundtrack. The band toured Europe in the autumn with a strong support package featuring COMMUNIC, MACHINE MEN and SERENITY, as well as playing many festivals in the U.K., U.S. and Europe. THRESHOLD closed the year by releasing its first retrospective, "The Best of Threshold - The Ravages of Time".
