THURISAZ Confims Irish Dates

February 9, 2009

Belgium-based metallers THURISAZ have issued the following update:

"After the first couple of months in the rehearsal room, we can honestly say that Hannes [Leroy, bass] adapted perfectly to the band. He learned the older songs in no time and delivers a big contribution to the new songs. It's a real pleasure to have him amongst us in this new chapter in the history of our band. You can watch him perform live on his first gig at De Bierpompe in our hometown Wervik Friday the 20th of February.

"We can say we already have a few new songs for the upcoming album, of which we will try one out at the gig in Wervik. Plans are being made to start recording in the fall of this year.

"More good news: we can confirm a few dates on our Ireland tour. We'll be attending the Full Metal Racket 2009 festival in Belfast with famous bands like PARADISE LOST and ROTTING CHRIST. On the other dates we'll play in Cork, Mullingar and Dublin from the 23th till the 26th of April. There is still one date to be confirmed. We hope this we'll be as much fun as last year."

THURISAZ had its 2004 debut album, "Scent of a Dream", reissued in April 2008 through Shiver Records. The album was remastered and contains an acoustic live version of "Years of Silence" as the bonus track.

THURISAZ' second full-length album, "Circadian Rhythm", was released in 2007 via Shiver.
