TO/DIE/FOR's Future Uncertain

October 20, 2007

Vocalist Jarno "Jape" Perätalo of the Finnish gothic metal band TO/DIE/FOR has issued the following update:

"Today we will travel to Russia (Moscow) by train. We are on same train with CHARON so... It's gonna be blast and we do not know are we still alive after that trip.

"Anyway, this is our last confirmed show and we really do not know what will happen for us then. We still do not have a new label, we haven't recorded new demos yet etc. So our future is wide open... maybe we will release sixth album someday, maybe we don't. Who knows?

"Now there is gonna be other projects going on... Joonas [guitarist Joonas "Jope" Koto] is recording next MALPRACTICE album and there will be other 'side-projects' coming too... If we will get a new label which would be ready to do real work for us then we will continue. Otherwise we do NOT. So let's put our future this way: anything can happen."

TO/DIE/FOR's fifth album, "Wounds Wide Open", was released in Finland in October 2006. The follow-up to 2005's "IV", "Wounds Wide Open" was recorded by Samu Oittinen at Fantom Studios and by Jari-Jukka Nippala at Sonic Image, and was mixed at Sweden's Abyss Studios by Peter Tägtgren (DIMMU BORGIR, CELTIC FROST).

Nuclear Blast earlier in the year reissued TO/DIE/FOR's "All Eternity" (2000) and "Epilogue" (2001) albums as a double-CD package. The cover art can be viewed at this location.
