TOKYO DRAGONS Prepare To Deliver 'Hot Nuts'

TOKYO DRAGONS will release their second full-length album, "Hot Nuts", in Europe on September 24 via Escapi Music. The CD will arrive in the U.S. in November.

"Hot Nuts" was recorded at Seattle's legendary Litho (owned by PEARL JAM's Stone Gossard) and Avast studios with producer Kurt Bloch (NASHVILLE PUSSY, SUPERSUCKERS).

Commented singer Steve Lomax: "We wanted to make a record that combined the raw power of the MC5's 'High Times' with the groove of ZZ TOP."

According to a press release, "Hot Nuts" "amalgamates more '70s American rock influences than its Brit-rock predecessor, especially the likes of CHEAP TRICK and TOM PETTY who can be found rubbing shoulders with the more familiar THIN LIZZY and MOTÖRHEAD influences, and a cover of TODD RUNDGREN's classic 'Couldn't I Just Tell You' seals the deal."

TOKYO DRAGONS released a specially priced EP of material, entitled "Come on Baby EP", in October 2006 via Escapi Music. The EP compiles together the unavailable tracks — including huge live favorite "High on Hate" from the band's Island singles with live recordings from their triumphant Hultsfred Festival show in June 2006, plus the "Come on Baby" video. The package also includes a special double-sided poster of the "Give Me the Fear" artwork by acclaimed cartoon artist Chris Weston (2000AD, DC Comics, "Judge Dredd", "Swamp Thing", etc.),who collaborated with the band on all their releases' artwork to date, and sleeve notes from lead singer Steve Lomax.
