TOOL: Technical Glitches Plague Toronto Concert
May 19, 2006MJI Interactive is reporting that TOOL's concert this past Tuesday (May 16) in Toronto hit a few technical glitches — microphones cutting out, video screens going blank — but guitarist Adam Jones says working through those kind of kinks is among the reasons for the band's current club trek. "These are warm-up shows for us because we haven't toured in a long time," explains Jones. "The autopilot isn't on. There's a lot of stuff that needs to be worked out live."
TOOL made a huge No. 1 debut on last week's The Billboard 200 with the band's fourth album, "10,000 Days", which sold 564,000 copies in its first week of release. The group's previous album, 2001's "Lateralus", sold nearly as many and also entered the chart at No. 1.
TOOL's current small-venue tour concludes on May 21 in Boston.
