TRIVIUM, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, H.I.M., LACUNA COIL Up For Kerrang!'s 'Best Band' Award

August 11, 2006

TRIVIUM, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, H.I.M. and LACUNA COIL are among the nominees for "Best Band On The Planet" at this year's Kerrang! Awards, to be held on Thursday, August 24 at The Brewery in London's East End.

More than 140,000 votes were cast to determine the nominations, from readers of Kerrang!'s magazine and web site, according to BBC News.

Users of the Internet community site MySpace.com — which hosts profiles of a number of the nominated bands — were also voters.

The magazine is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and plans to base the ceremony around the idea of a "twisted carnival."
